Listener refused the connection with the following error:ora-12505, Tns:listener does not currently know to SID given in Connect descriptor the listener rejects the connection because the SID connection does not match.
In general, database names and SIDs are created when the database is created. SIDs are used to uniquely identify an instance. Cannot repeat on the same machine. 1. View instance name and Oracle_sid
In the Windows environment you can (take my own Machine for example):
(1) Start-> run (input regedit), in hkey_local_machine\software\oracle\key_oradb11g_home1 has Oracle_sid key value (system default), as shown in the following figure:
My oracle_sid is ORCL, so the SID should enter ORCL instead of XE; After testing, you can connect to the database.
