Little and big refer to the size of the memory address, and end refers to the end of the data.

Little-endian refers to the low memory address where the end of the stored data (that is, low bytes) Big-endian refers to the memory address high place at the end of the data (that is, high-byte) example: 0x1234 to be stored in the memory from 0x4000 in the Little-endian
