Logicblze fuses MySQL to launch SOA, LAMP, and Ajax

At the end of last month, logicblze and MySQL announced their cooperation to launch many of the hottest things in IT: Service-Oriented Architecture SOA), LAMP concept stack development, and Ajax.

This cooperation, known as the logicblze FUSE of MySQL, will bring MySQL databases to the enterprise-level service bus (ESB) platform of logicblze, its ESB can be downloaded as the Apache License 2.0 open source code. Their partnership was announced in MySQL User Conference 2006, held in Santa Clara on Tuesday. Their goal is to target architectures and use LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP/Perl/Python) development model and Ajax developers, said Rich Peterson, vice president of logicblze marketing.

MySQL is a component of the LAMP database. What logicblze brings to this group is FUSE, based on an open-source ESB-Apache ServiceMix. This combination makes it possible to convert LAMP applications into Web services that can run in an SOA.

Logicblze is touching that its lightweight messaging capability is a good match between LAMP and Ajax projects and MySQL connections. For Peterson, the key concept is connectivity.

"A LAMP or Ajax-based application that provides access to the MySQL database environment does not need a launch well," he said. "It can be a highly connected application, the FUSE platform is a platform integrated with ServiceMix. ServiceMix provides connectivity that binds components and interfaces through a series of standards ."

This is what he said when he promoted the advantages of the LogicBlaze method in the architect attending the MySQL conference.

"Configuration itself is FUSE, that is, Apache ServiceMix, (Apache) ActiveMQ, and the bound components, service engine, UDDI directory, HTTP server, management console, and all standard features ", he said, "In addition to these, we also provide databases that integrate MySQL databases."

In the new business model of open-source software, logicblze will provide services and support for SOA architects and developers working in LAMP and Ajax projects, this will start after they download the software. The product is the FUSE of MySQL, and all the software is planned to be available for download in May, it will not be a traditional package.

"The MySQL database needs to be downloaded separately because it is under the GPL authorization of MySQL, and our work is still based on Apache2.0," Peterson said, "but its download is still very simple."

For LAMP, Peterson said FUSE provides local client support for Perl, PHP, Python, and Ruby scripting languages, which are now included in the LAMP model, although it does not correspond to the abbreviation of the first letter.

"So those who write an application in one of the languages can run it word by word and add FUSE to their application stack, and run it with higher stability and performance, because at the center they run on JMS (Java Messaging Service." He said.

FUSE also includes additional technologies in its HTTP server to provide scalability and the increasing demand for Ajax applications, he said. One of the first examples of integrated use of MySQL and logicblze is what Peterson calls "extensible Ajax scenarios ".

"What the additional technology provides is that it manages the load on the HTTP server, especially when the server processes not all HTML requests ." He explained: "When serving static HTML pages, from 100 users simultaneously accessing to 10000 users simultaneously, there is a big problem from time to time, because they only refresh frequently. However, if these connections are Ajax and they are continuously connected, and you are using an XML data stream, then you need to manage 10000 service requests that are continuously connected to the HTTP server. Additional technology allows us to achieve this. So we can see that extensible Ajax is used as the first use case for this configuration ."
