First step: Open the "terminal" application.
Step Two: Enter the following command:
Defaults write Com.apple.finder appleshowallfiles TRUE; Killall Finder
Step three: Press the "return" key.
That way you'll see hidden files and folders in the Finder window.
Similarly, if you want to hide the original hidden files and folders again, replace the commands in the above steps with
Defaults write Com.apple.finder appleshowallfiles FALSE; Killall Finder.
