Mac Tutorial: What does Spotlight search mean?

Spotlight is a very useful search feature in Mac OS X, which allows you to quickly search for content in your Mac by control+ spaces. Apple is also constantly optimizing spotlight, starting with the 10.7 lion system, spotlight can support the direct drag and drop of search content.

For example, you can search for a file and drag it directly to the desktop (or other target folder), which automatically generates a copy of the original file on the desktop. This mode of operation is not operational in 10.6 or earlier systems.
