As teachers, they often collate some information downloaded from the Internet and make them into paper. Once, a friend saved a paper from the Web page text, there are many manual line breaks, and there are answers. Want to let the students do the test, of course, do not need an answer, but also in the front of each multiple-choice add a bracket, for students to fill in the answer. It takes a lot of time to make a change. Can you think of a way to solve these problems quickly? Of course, there is a way, with the "Find/Replace" feature.
Remove unnecessary manual line breaks
In Word 2003, open the Find/Replace dialog box (Figure 1) and enter "^l^l" in the Find what entry box, of course, after you open the Advanced button, select manual line breaks two times in special characters (Figure 2), and enter "^p" in the Replace with input box, which is Special characters "paragraph mark" (Figure 3), click "Replace All", the two manual newline characters replaced by a paragraph mark.

Tip: When you enter special symbols such as line breaks, you can directly enter characters that represent special symbols, or you can click the "Advanced" button, and then select the appropriate options for the "paragraph mark" in the special symbol: "^$" means "any letter", "^#" stands for "any number", and "^&" stands for "Find content". ......
Get rid of the answer
In the Find what input box, enter (^$), replace with the input box empty, replace all, remove all the answers.
Plus parentheses to fill in the answer
Enter "^#." In the Find What entry box (note "#.") The point at the back, because there is a separator number behind the title number ".", if you do not add, in the replacement, if there are numbers in the test questions, then there will be unnecessary parentheses, such as the 3rd option in the topic of Windows 98, will be "9" and "8" preceded by parentheses, If that's the way it is, in the "Replace with" input box, enter "() ^&&" and replace it with a brace for writing the answer before each question number.
However, the parentheses in which the answer is written are not displayed in the format we want, and you need to indent the left line of the option in a few characters and still set it in Find/replace. Enter "A" in the Find what input box, enter "^&&" in the "Replace with" input box, that is, add a few spaces before finding the content, the number of spaces to be based on the requirements of the format, the parentheses will be highlighted after all replace, so that the teacher can see the answer. A messy paper after a few minutes of processing, into a neat and beautiful paper, is not very fulfilling AH.
