Mandrake Linux 10 HDD ISO installation (RPM) __linux

The following installation method will not require floppy drive, optical drive, no pressure, no need to manually replace the ISO file, hard disk boot installation (graphical interface)

1, with Md5sums.exe filename.iso command, verify the correctness of the ISO file MD5 code. The 4 ISO files are placed under the root of a FAT, FAT32, ext2, or ext3 hard disk partition.

2. From http://www.linuxfans.org/nuke/modul...fo&did= 2334, download: MandrakeISOinstall-10.0 files, after decompression, the Vmlinuz and All.rdz two files are also placed under the root of FAT, FAT32, ext2 or ext3 hard disk partitions.

3, from the http://www.linuxfans.org/nuke/modul...fo&did=2332, download: grub_for_dos-0.2.0pre6.tar.gz files, decompression after the Bootgrub and GRLDR Two files are copied to the root of the C: disk.

4, from the hard disk boot dos, directly run Grub.exe can enter the grub prompt, if the win2000/nt/xp/2003 system, then add a line in boot.ini: c:/bootgrub= "Start Grub", and then restart the machine, Select Start grub on the menu to enter the grub prompt.

5. At the grub prompt, enter: Find/vmlinuz command to view the hard disk and partition where the Vmlinuz resides. For example, if your computer has two hard disks, it may display: (hd1,4)

6, enter the following three commands:
Kernel (hd1,4)/vmlinuz ramdisk_size=128000 root=/dev/ram3 automatic=method:disk acpi=ht vga=788

INITRD (hd1,4)/all.rdz

Boot

You can enter the installation interface. When prompted to enter the hard disk partition and the first ISO filename for the ISO file, the installation process will automatically swap until the installation is complete.
