1. Break through the Capacity Limit to upload large files

By default, the IIS console on Windows 2003 Server only allows users to upload files with a maximum size of KB through webpages. If the size of uploaded files exceeds this limit, the webpage will automatically display a message similar to "Request object error.

Is there any way to break through the IIS server's file capacity limit to upload larger files to the website? In fact, through the following operation steps, we can customize the capacity standards of the files uploaded to the website as needed, so that large files can be uploaded easily:

When using the IIS console, first click "start"/"run" command, and then enter the string command "Services. msc, click OK to go to the System Service list page.

Find the "World Wide Web Hing Service" Service option on the page, and double-click it with the left mouse to open the attribute settings window for the Service, and then click "stop" in the window, temporarily stop the System Service "World Wide Web Publishing Service.

Next, open the system resource manager window, go to the "system32" and "inesrv" subfolders, and find "metabase. xml file, right-click the file, and execute the "edit" command from the pop-up context menu. The system will automatically call the file editing tool such as NotePad to open the file.

Next, we will find the "AspMaxRequestEntityAllowed" string (1) on the open text editing interface. We find that the default value of this string is "204800 ", this value is used by the ASP Website to customize the maximum size of files allowed to be uploaded, the default value "204800" indicates that, by default, the maximum file upload standard for a website is "kb ".

Now we can modify the value here as needed to meet our own file upload requirements.

For example, if you want to upload a 10 M file, you only need to change "204800" to "10485760", and then save the file again.

To make the above settings take effect, we also need to enter the system Service list window, restart the "World Wide Web Publishing Service" Service, and then enter the system's IIS Console window, restart the ASP website so that the target website can officially upload large files.
