The AutoFormat As You type feature helps users automatically replace characters when they are entered in the Word2013 document, or automatically apply the most appropriate formatting. Users can enable or turn off related options by setting the AutoFormat As You type option, and by setting the AutoFormat option in Word2013, you can make the AutoFormat feature more realistic, as described in the following steps:
Step 1th, open the Word2013 document window, and click the file → options button, as shown in Figure 1.

Step 2nd, in the Open Word Options dialog box, switch to the Proofing tab, and then click the AutoCorrect Options button in the AutoCorrect Options area, as shown in Figure 2.

Step 3rd, open the AutoCorrect dialog box and switch to the AutoFormat tab. Cancel or select the relevant option and click OK, as shown in Figure 3.
