Microsoft Exchange does not support Windows 8 issues

Cause of the problem:

"Due to Windows 8, Window2012 does not support Microsoft Exchange."

Workaround:

Start running Regedit.exe, open the registry, and then go to the following location:

Computer\hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\windowsnt\currentversion

here, you select the key called CurrentVersion in, now say 6.2 . Change this to 6.1 and Exchange Server to believe that you are running Windows Server R2 . This key automatically changes back to 6.2 When you restart the computer, so you have to do the registry changes and install without restarting.
