Microsoft will suspend some windows support in the first half of the year

Yesterday, Microsoft issued a warning that support for earlier Windows systems will be suspended in the first half of this year. The termination of official support for these products means that Microsoft will no longer release security updates. In this move, Microsoft will continue to encourage more people to use the latest version of the Microsoft operating system.

It is reported that Microsoft's support for Windows Vista RTM will be stopped on April 9, April 13, and Windows XP SP2 and all versions of Windows July 13 will be stopped on April 9, 2000. In addition, support for Windows Server 2000 will be stopped later.

Microsoft recommends that Windows XP SP2 users install the latest version of Windows XP SP3 or upgrade to Windows 7.
