Mobile IPv6 protocol Problems

When IPv6 is widely used, the Mobile IPv6 protocol for communication is not weak. Therefore, understanding of the Mobile IPv6 protocol is essential. Now let's discuss the related issues.

The Mobile IPv6 node uses the Internet to control the Message Protocol (ICMP) router to search for messages to determine its location. The IPv6 router search includes two packets: vro broadcast and vro request. vro broadcast is periodically broadcast by the home site proxy and vro on the link they are connected, A router request is sent by a mobile node that does not have enough patience to wait for the next router broadcast packet 。

The data packets sent by the mobile node are directly routed to the destination through a special mechanism. However, when there is an entry direction filter, the mobile node can send the data packets to the hometown proxy through a tunnel, the source address of the tunnel is the transfer address of the mobile node 。

After the above process, the mobile node sends the data to the destination with the help of the forwarding address and the hometown proxy to complete the data transmission process 。

Major problems of Mobile IPv6 protocol

Theoretically speaking, although IPv6 has many advantages, Mobile IP is a new technology and there are still many shortcomings in this technology, some cannot be solved in IPv4. most Internet devices and mobile Internet service providers (ISPs) do not support mobile IP services. Although IPv6 has broad development prospects, but IPv4 is not compatible with IPv6. If IPv6 is used, IPv4-based software, routers, and switches need to be upgraded, which is very expensive, this greatly limits the research and development of IPv6 。

System Structure of IPv6 in the CDMA 2000 Network

In the CDMA 2000 network, RN (including MS, BTS, BSC/PCF), PDSN, AAA, HA, and FA are used to complete grouped data services, through the proxy discovery mechanism, mobile registration mechanism, and the Tunnel Link Between PDSN/FA and HA, supports cross-PDSN switching. The functional entities of the core network grouping domain include PDSN/FA, HA, RADIUS server, and so on 。

Group data service node PSDN: connects to the wireless network rn and the Access Gateway of the group data network. It establishes and terminates PPP connections for user terminals and supports the foreign proxy (FA) function for Mobile IP services, allows you to access the public data network or VPC 。

Foreign proxy FA: PDSN acts as a foreign proxy for the mobile station. It is equivalent to a vro for the mobile station to access the network and provides IP address forwarding and IP address routing services for the mobile station 。

Local proxy HA: A vro of MS in the primary network. It maintains the current location information of MS and establishes the relationship between ms ip addresses and MS forwarding addresses. When MS leaves the registered network, register with the HA. After receiving the data packet sent to MS, the HA will send the data packet to MS through the channel between HA and FA to complete the Mobile IP function 。

RADIUS (AAA) server: Implements authentication, authorization, and billing for PPP and Mobile IP connections through IP communication with PDSN 。

The routing mode for the bandwidth of the instance in which the instance is using the mobile IPv6 protocol.

For the data sent by the Mobile Station, FA acts as a default router and uses reverse tunnel to send data to the HA or route to the IP network. For the data sent to the mobile station, if the mobile station is roaming to other places, in addition, a mobile IP address is registered in HA. HA will encapsulate the intercepted packet tunnel and send it to the forwarding address (CoA). The intercepted packet tunnel will be unencapsulated by the node corresponding to the forwarding address and then transferred to MS 。

With the maturity and trial run of IPv6 standards, introducing IPv6 into mobile networks has become an important direction for the development of communication networks. The development direction of mobile networks is "all IP Mobile Networks". IPv6 has been determined by 3GPP as the basis and 3G necessity for building next-generation mobile networks. standards to be followed, it has become an indispensable technology in IP multimedia services that support 3GPPR5 standards. However, there is still a long way to go to achieve IPv6 。
