Modify the default MySQL database data storage location

As the volume of traffic grows, the MySQL default installation partition size bottlenecks, usually need to swap datadir to a larger partition

Sample Original directory:/usr/local/mysql/data/
Example New catalog:/data/mysqldata/

1, Stop mysqld Service
/sbin/service mysqld Stop

2. Copy the database to the new directory
Cp-r/usr/local/mysql/data/*/data/mysqldata/

3, assigned to MySQL directory permissions
Chown-r mysql:mysql/data/mysqldata/

4. Modify the MySQL configuration file
Vim/etc/my.cnf
#datadir =/usr/local/mysql/data/
DataDir =/data/mysqldata/

5, Start mysqld service
/sbin/service mysqld Start

View MySQL process with ps-ef |grep mysql command
--datadir is already a new catalogue.
