This section describes how to customize advanced search pages and functions.

First of all, I have created a website set for publishing portals, which comes with a search center. If you do not have a search center in your actual environment, you can create a subwebsite. My path is http: // mossweb: 10111/search/default. aspx, so that you can access the search website. The page is as follows:

Now you can see a button for advanced search on the right side of the search box. Click to enter the advanced search page. The default advanced search page is displayed.

We will find that there are many language choices.

The result type contains some optional content.

Attribute restrictions for filtering provide some restrictions for filtering.

Can these be customized? The answer is yes, of course, it can be customized. In addition, there is no need for programming. From this point of view, Sharepoint is still very powerful, but the steps are complicated, but don't worry. After reading the subsequent explanations, you will feel that it is not so responsible. Next we will continue to introduce the steps for customization and configuration.

Because advanced search is divided into three parts, I also divide it into three articles to describe them separately. This article is the first part of the content, which is the simplest part.

1. Click "website operations-Edit page" on the advanced search page to enter the page editing mode. The page is displayed as a large "Advanced Search box" webpart.

2. Click the edit menu of webpart and select modify shared Web part ".

3. The Web part configuration window in the advanced search box appears on the right side of the page. The following describes the configurations in the search box.

4. The configuration in the search box is relatively simple. I will know how to use it after reading it. Here I will introduce it one by one. Expand the configuration section of the search box and see the following content.

5. The corresponding Advanced Search section is as follows.

6. Some tags in the search box correspond to "search for documents that meet the following conditions..." in the figure ...". We changed it to "Special Condition search ". Click OK to see the effect.

7. The following four settings are available: All words, exact phrases, arbitrary words, and no following words. the settings of the search box and the search box label are displayed. We can see that their settings serve the same purpose. Here we will only explain one of them, and the others will be the same. Take all words as an example.

The first setting indicates whether to display the search conditions as shown in.

8. If it is set to the deselected status, it is not displayed.

9. The "all words" search box tag is customized for the following content.

Enter the tag to be displayed.

Click OK to see the following results.
