I. Software and Hardware requirements

The following section lists the minimum hardware and software requirements for running Microsoft SQL Server 2005.

1. SQL Server 2005 hardware requirements.

If the processor type is not met, the System Configuration Checker (SCC) will prevent the installer from running.

If the minimum or recommended processor speed requirement is not met, the SCC will warn the user but will not prevent the installation program from running. There will be no warning on the multi-processor computer.

If the minimum or recommended Ram requirements are not met, the SCC will issue a warning to the user but will not prevent the installation program from running. The memory requirement is only for this version. It does not reflect other memory requirements of the operating system. SCC will check whether the memory is available at the beginning of installation.

SQL Server evaluation edition supports the same feature set as SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition.

SQL Server 2005 32-bit client components can be installed on Windows 2000 Professional SP4 or later.

When you perform basic installation, SQL Server 2005 express edition is automatically installed. When performing advanced installation on an independent computer that has Microsoft SQL server installed, make sure that the computer meets the hardware and software requirements of the database server.

Office Sharepoint Server 2007 runs on Windows Server 2003 SP1 or later. We recommend that you apply all key updates. You can use the following Windows Server 2003 Versions:

Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition

Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition

Windows Server 2003 datacenter Edition

Windows Server 2003 web edition

(4) Windows Components

After installing the operating system and applying all key updates, you must enable Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0 to configure your computer as a Web server, including:

Public files

WWW

Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP)

You must configure the server to use "IIS 6.0 Working Process Isolation Mode ". This is the default setting in the all-new installation. However, if you have upgraded from IIS 2000 on Windows Server 5.0, "Run WWW Service in IIS 5.0 Isolation Mode" is enabled ", you must change this setting to use "IIS 6.0 Working Process Isolation Mode ".

Before installing Office Sharepoint Server 2007, you must install Microsoft. NET Framework 3.0 and ensure that ASP. NET 2.0 is enabled.

The computer that hosts the database server role must be installed with SQL Server 2000 sp3a or later or Microsoft SQL Server 2005 SP1 or later. Some advanced features require SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services SP1 or later.

2. Create three VMS

Windows 2003 enterprise R2 sps2 is installed, and the memory allocation meets the minimum requirements for Windows 2003 enterprise R2 sps2, sql2005 SP2, and Office Sharepoint server2007sp1.

One domain controller DC, one SQL Server server sql2005, and one moss2007 server farm moss2007.

DC: 192.168.0.46 (TD-DC)

Sql2005: 192.168.0.47 (TD-SQL)

Moss: 192.168.0.48 (TD-MOSS)

5. VM startup delay Configuration
