MS SQL2000 Personal Edition installation tutorial (Graphic tutorial)

The SQL2000 Enterprise Edition is applicable to Windows 2000, and the 2003 and XP systems generally cannot be installed with the individual edition. Of course, if you have worked hard to download the Enterprise Edition, you cannot install it, are you very disappointed? This document describes how to install SQL2000 Enterprise Edition in XP for your reference ~
The method is as follows:
The installation process is simple and the next step is OK.

2. restart Windows XP and the SQL Service icon appears.

3. Take out the installation CD of the SQL Server version and install the client tool directly? The simplest example is to directly click autorun.exe under the optical disk root directory)
Install the tool as prompted. If you know that the system is not a server version during the self-check process, you will be prompted to only install the client tool. (Haha, I already have the server)

4. Open the Enterprise Manager and try connecting the SA user to see if the SA User Login fails? Because you have not been associated with a trusted SQL server connection. Fortunately, you only need to slightly modify the system registry:
Enter Regedit in the running directory to open the Registry Editor and find [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ MSSQLServer ].
There is a key value loginmode. By default, the value is 1. Change the value to 2 and restart the computer. If the method above does not allow SA to log on normally, you can use Windows authentication to log on. Then, change the SA password to sa.

5. Start enterprise management and try again. Is it OK!

(1) run the autorun.exe file or other executable files in the personaldirectory. After the installer is called up, the interface shown in Figure 1 is displayed. Select "Local Computer" and click "Next ".

(2) In the second selection dialog box, select the top item: "Create a new SQL server instance ......" (2) Click "Next ".

If the same occurs, the software cannot connect to the database. Sa is the advanced user name, and the SA password is the initial password of the software.

(6) When the interface shown in Figure 6 appears, the definition before SQL Server installation is complete and the installation starts. If the machine is not particularly faulty, SQL server should be able to install it into your machine.

(7) If your machine uses the Windows 98 operating system and the SQL Server database is installed, there should be a server running sign in the status bar in the lower right corner (7 ). If this flag does not exist, Run "Service Manager" under the SQL server component of the Program Group in the Start menu bar ".

(8) If the service manager is running (there is a running mark in the status bar in the lower right corner), the software cannot be connected to the database because there is still a problem with the settings in the SQL Server database. In this case, you can find "Enterprise Manager" in the SQL Server Component in the Program Group on the Start Menu Bar and click "Enterprise Manager". The Management window shown in Figure 8 is displayed. Click "Edit SQL Server Registration attribute" to change or correct the attribute item.

If you know how to install it, reinstall sql2kp, and select the server and client tools. The other tools are available by default. You 'd better restart the system before installation.

Also, it is best to use a clean system for installation. Do not copy the DLL of other SQL Server versions to system32 of WINNT.

Install Microft SQL Server 2000 Personal Edition under Windows 2000 Professional

1. Right-click my computer> Properties> Computer Name> change, and copy the complete computer name. (Enter the computer name when installing the database later)

2. Double-click to run the SQL 2000 installation program.

3. If your operating system is Windows 2000 Server or Windows 2003 Server, select SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition on the following page, if your OS is Windows 2000 Professional, select SQL Server 2000 Personal Edition on the page.

4. In the following window, select "Local Computer" and click "Next.

5. Enter the computer name in the following window, paste the copied computer name, and click "Next.

6. In the following window, select "server and client tools" and click "Next.

7. In the pop-up window, the default installation path of the computer is "C: \ SQL Server 2000" (we recommend that you Install SQL 2000 to a drive letter with a large disk space ), click "Overview" to change the installation path.

8. In the displayed window, after changing the installation path of SQL 2000, the computer displays the installation path of SQL 2000. Click "Next.

9. In the displayed window, select "use local SYSTEM account" and click "Next ".

10. In the pop-up window below, select "mixed mode" and "Empty Password", and click "Next ".

11. Wait until the installation process is complete.

12. The following figure shows that the installation is successful.

 

 

Solution to the suspension prompt when installing SQL Server 2000 Personal Edition

Install SQL
Server 2000 Personal Edition, when installed in the computer name dialog box, click Next, an error dialog box appears, as mentioned above, "the previous installation of a program has created a pending file operation on the installation computer, and you must restart the computer before running the installation". After the installation is restarted, this dialog box still appears at this step.

Solution: If so, add or delete a program to permanently delete sqlserver.

SQL statements that are not deleted
