My attempt to configure the linux Network in Vmware

My attempt to configure a linux Network in Vmware-general Linux technology-Linux technology and application information. The following is a detailed description. I saw a lot of articles on how to set up the network in a virtual machine on the Internet. It took more than a week to complete the setting on my virtual machine!
Below are some of my experiences and insights.
I installed two virtual machines on my computer, one redhat9 and One fedora. One of them is installed on the mobile hard drive (for full support, huh, huh ). I didn't know much about the installation at the time. I chose no network. This will cause a lot of trouble for my future settings. This is because I cannot add hardware or network interfaces. What I/O, IRQ, and so on are required when you add a nic? I have been searching for it for half a day in windows (in fact, the virtual Nic and the actual parameters are different) and no corresponding parameters are found. It took a lot of effort to find the option to add a NIC in the VM settings. I am also confused about how to choose a network card. The posts on the Forum seem to be very detailed, but I just don't quite understand it (I am not familiar with the network ). After several attempts, I finally used the NAT method to connect one of my VMS to the internet this morning. I am so happy. Thanks to experience, this afternoon we successfully connected the other one through a bridge. You can explore it in linux later!
According to my understanding, the so-called NAT method seems to be that vmware provides a server, what IP addresses, gateways, and DNS are entered in the Virtual Machine network settings field according to the edit in vmware. For more information, see related posts. The so-called bridging is equivalent to taking the virtual machine's network card as the actual network card. The IP address, gateway, DNS, and so on are the same as those of the actual host (the IP address does not seem to be the same, and then you can access the Internet in the same way as the host.
As long as a network is set, vmware will add a virtual network card PCNET32 to the virtual machine, which is the same for both (the other should also be. The setting method for virtual machines and IP parameters is different. In fact, the I/O and IRQ of the virtual network card should be configured when linux detects the network card at startup, without manual intervention.
Thank you for your advice! Without your support and help, I cannot play with what linux says on this virtual machine.
