1. What is a sample on demand?

When learning or evaluating technology, architecture, or design techniques, software developers will tell you that there is nothing in development practice that can be compared to the value of a working example for a project that successfully employs the above elements. To facilitate rapid developer learning, GENUITEC provides sample on-demand, providing software developers with the ability to run sample applications at any time, demonstrating how to quickly and successfully use popular programming technologies and frameworks such as Ajax frameworks, JSPs, JSF, Struts, Spring, Hibernate, JPA, EJB3, and more. Each sample on-demand application is designed to run in the MyEclipse 0 configuration server sandbox and can be downloaded directly to the MyEclipse sample analysis installation process.

"Show me, don t tell me" is the motto of the example on demand, and of course you can find the various technical and framework tutorials on "how-to" online. However, most of the tutorials provided are mostly abstract, unless you do set up the development and runtime environment, and then implement a classic simplified example tutorial that is not flawed, so you can't be sure that the knowledge you've learned can be applied to your actual work. Instead of just talking about technology and frameworks, these examples show you how a wide range of technical, single, and multi-frame examples can be downloaded directly into your MyEclipse workspace within seconds, running the stack under MyEclipse's Integrated technology framework.

Grady Booch in his famous argument "every complex working application evolved from a simpler working example", the example on-demand provides a "simple work example" for developers.

Other key benefits of sample on demand include:

    • A working example is a tutorial with a value of more than 10,000 words
    • Install the sample on-demand browser in seconds
    • 0 Configuration Run example on MyEclipse server sandbox
    • From running a pilot example, developers can quickly increase confidence that they will be able to replicate the success of the same technology and framework in their own applications
    • Developers can use the sample on-demand sample as a template to create their own applications
    • All of the sample code is open source based on the Apache2 license, and the developer does not need to open up any additional source code to be reused.
server Sandbox for 1.1 myeclipse

The purpose of all sample on-demand project development is to enable them to be added to the developer's workspace without having to install and configure additional resources (such as an application or data source) to run, which can be achieved through the MyEclipse Integration Server sandbox. The evolution of the MyEclipse server sandbox is combined with the MyEclipse Derby and Tomcat servers. These two integration servers provide a complete "out-of-the-box" sample application Solution for application Development runtime.

2. Sample on-Demand browser

An integrated sample on-demand browser is available in MyEclipse. These sample on-demand browsers are innovative applications for rich Internet application (RIA) technology, allowing you to seamlessly navigate through the online application samples, then quickly download them directly from the MyEclipse Workbench and install and run these sample resources within seconds.

Select the Myeclipse> sample on-demand menu or launch the sample on-demand browser by clicking the Show console icon and selecting the sample label at the bottom of the console.

The sample on-demand browser is part of the console, and you can browse the complete description of the techniques and their capabilities for completing the sample project.

3. One-click Sample Download and Installation

If you find a sample application that will be used, click its appropriate install button. The sample on-demand browser downloads and installs these composed applications into projects in your workspace. During the installation process, all projects are compiled and validated. In some cases, a project may need to be migrated to a new version of MyEclipse, where the Migration Wizard opens automatically, making it easier and quicker to migrate the project.

Each sample project provides a Readme.txt file that provides detailed information about the project.

When installing an example in your workspace, you can change the source code and experience the app at will.

The sample on-demand project installed into your workspace is still connected to the public CVS repository, and you can safely disconnect the project and the CVS repository by right-clicking the project and selecting Team>disconnect from the menu.

4. One-click Startup example and Test

If the project is a Web project, you can use MyEclipse's one-click Application Launcher to run it immediately. Right-click the root of the project and choose Run As>myeclipse Server application from the menu, and one click the Application Launcher to do the following:

    • Allows you to select a server to deploy or define a new server. MyEclipse Tomcat is available immediately.
    • Packages and automated applications are deployed to the selected server.
    • Start the server.
    • Start the Web browser to open the root directory of the application.

Note: If you are running an application that requires a database connection, do not forget to start MyEclipse Derby before running the sample application, otherwise you cannot connect when your application tries to access the database. May get a connectionexception.

After the application runs on the application server, MyEclipse opens the browser to view the home page of your sample application. You can then run the application, but edit and debug it at run time.

5. Get the sample in the archive table

Some developer devices may have Internet Enterprise firewall restrictions to block development, follow these steps to get sample projects from your workspace's archive file.

    • download a sample or all of the archived files on demand.
      • jee Examples
      • cloud Example
      • spring Examples
      • RCP Examples
      • reports Examples
    • Expand General, select an existing project to the workspace, and then click Next.
    • Select the archive option and browse for the archived file you downloaded.
    • click Done and the sample is displayed in your workspace.
