MySQL Basics

1. See how many databases are included under the current instance:

show databases;

2. Create a new database:

Create Database DATABASENAME;

3. Enter the specified database:

Use DATABASENAME;

4. Query How many tables are in this database:

Show tables;

5. View the table structure for the specified table:

Desc TABLENAME;

6. Set the encoding format to GB2312:

CharSet gb2312;

7.if not exists--if not present;

8.if exists--if present.
