MySQL Case-sensitive query

Source: Internet
Author: User

MySQL queries are case insensitive by default, such as:

SELECT * FROM table_name where a like ' a% '

SELECT * FROM table_name where a like ' A% '

SELECT * FROM table_name where a like ' a% '

SELECT * FROM table_name where a like ' A% '

The effect is the same.

To make MySQL queries case-sensitive, you can:

SELECT * FROM table_name where binary a like ' a% '

SELECT * FROM table_name where binary a like ' A% '

SELECT * FROM table_name where binary a like ' a% '

SELECT * FROM table_name where binary a like ' A% '

can also be identified when the table is built

CREATE TABLE table_name (

A varchar (a) binary

}
