MySQL Change password

1. Set the root password (when the root password is empty)

Mysqladmin-uroot password "new123";

2. Modify MySQL Password (3 methods)

1) mysqladmin-uroot-poldboy123 password "new123"; 2) mysql>update Mysql.user set Password=password ("oldboy123") where user= ' root ' and host= ' localhost '; Mysql>flush privileges;3) mysql> set Password=password ("123");

3. Forgot password

1) first turn off MYSQL2) Skip verification start Mysqld_safe--skip-grant-tables &3) modify the MySQL password by using the method of modification recommendations (second method) 4) Restart MySQL

4. Create super users

Mysql> Grant all privileges on * * to ' system ' @ ' localhost ' identified by ' oldboy123 ' with Grant option;mysql> flush privileges;

mysqladmin-uroot-poldboy123 password "new123"-s/data/3306/mysql.sock

6. Forgot password
