· Make sure that your mysqld server is not started using the -- skip-networking option. If this option is used, you cannot use TCP/IP to connect to it.
· Check and confirm that there is no firewall blocking MySQL access. Applications such as ZoneAlarm and Windows XP Personal Firewall need to be configured to allow external access to the MySQL server
· Make sure that your mysqld server is not started using the mysqld-nt program. If so, the solution is:
1. Stop the original MySQL service and delete it.
Net stop MySQL Stop Service
SC Delete MySQL Delete Service
2. Create a new service and start it.
Mysqld -- install mysql50 -- defaults-file = "C:/program files/MySQL Server 5.0/My. ini"
Set the service program to mysqld and the service name to mysql50.
Net start mysql50
After this setting, other machines and local machines can be connected to the server.
In fact, the original service program is mysqld-nt, and the above operations will replace this program with mysqld. That's all!
