The installation of mysql in win7 or win8 is the same, so this article applies to win7 or win8 systems. Since you are interested in reading this article, I think it is unnecessary for me to explain what MySQL is for. Install it directly below.
First, provide a MySQL:
Http://downloads.mysql.com/archives.php? P = mysql-5.5 & o =-win
My download is here, my version is 5.5.28, 30 m around, all called mysql-5.5.28-winx64.msi (my system is 64-bit), of course you can also download the latest version, the address is as follows:
Now that the installation file is available, double-click it.
Start the detailed journey of mysql installation illustration today.
1. The welcome page appears. If you are interested, read it and click "Next"
2. Accept the terms and click "Next"
3. Three options are available: Typical, Custom, and Complete. Typical indicates a Typical installation. Complete indicates a Complete installation and Custom indicates a Custom installation. Therefore, we choose Custom installation.
4. Select the installation directory and click "Next"
5. These images may appear.
Continue "Next"
Click "Finish". The installation is complete. Next, configure MySQL.
6. Two options are displayed. Here we select the Configuration method, "Detailed Configuration manual precise Configuration)" and "Standard Configuration (Standard Configuration)". We select "Detailed Configuration ", click "Next"
7. Three options are displayed, indicating:
Developer Machine: development and testing. mysql occupies a small amount of resources.
Server Machine: Server type. mysql occupies many resources.
Dedicated MySQL Server Machine: Dedicated database Server. mysql occupies all available resources
Which one can be selected at will, but I chose the first "Developer Machine" and then "Next".
8. Next, select the database usage:
Multifunctional Database: Universal multi-function
Transactional Database Only: server type, focusing on Transaction Processing
Non-Transactional Database Only: non-transaction processing type, relatively simple, mainly used for monitoring and recording. Support for MyISAM data types is limited to Non-transactional
Select "Multifunctional Database" at the beginning, and then click "Next".
9. Here we configure InnoDB Tablespace, that is, to select a bucket for the InnoDB database file. If it is modified, remember the location and select the same place during the reinstallation, otherwise, the database may be damaged. Of course, it is okay to back up the database. Click "Next" to continue
10. Select the mysql access volume, that is, the number of simultaneous connections.
Demo-support (DSS)/OLAP: about 20
Online Transaction Processing (OLTP): around 500
Manual Setting: custom
Because I am mainly used for development and testing on my own machine, I chose Manual Setting, and then set 10 connections, and click "Next".
11. Whether to enable TCP/IP connection. If it is not enabled, you can only access the MySQL database on your own machine. If it is enabled, check the preceding Port Number ): 3306. By default, "Add firewall exception for this port" is a firewall setting that adds the listening port outside the windows firewall to avoid firewall blocking; there is also an "Enable Strict Mode". If selected, MySQL will not allow small syntax errors, but try to use standard Mode, because it can reduce the possibility of illegal data entering the database
12. Select the database encoding, that is, to set the default MySQL database encoding. The first is the Spanish encoding, the second is the multi-byte universal utf8 encoding, and the third is the custom encoding, here we should select UTF-8, which is an international code with good versatility (but this does not guarantee that no garbled code will appear in the future database use process ).
13. Select whether to install mysql as a windows Service. You can also specify the Service Name (Service ID Name) and whether to add the mysql bin directory to Windows PATH, you can directly use the file in bin without specifying the directory Name, such as connecting to MySQL. The command "mysql-uusername-ppassword.exe" indicates the complete address of mysql.exe. The Service Name remains unchanged, then "Next"
14. Set the Database Password, enter it again, and then enter it again. "Enable root access from remotemachines" indicates whether the root user is allowed to log on to other machines, if security is required, do not check it. The last "Create An Anonymous Account" indicates creating An Anonymous user. Anonymous Users can connect to the database but cannot operate the database, including queries, generally, you don't need to check it, and then "Next"
5. After making sure that the preceding settings are correct, click Execute:
Click "Finish.
Note: errors may occur when you reinstall the MySQL database. In this case, we need to check whether the old database or the previous database is completely detached and whether the password is entered correctly, it is also best to back up the data file (by default, the date file is here: C: ProgramDataMySQLMySQL Server 5.5 data, which is hidden) and then delete it.
After the installation is complete, open cmd.exe and enter:
Mysql-uroot-p
*****
Then press Enter.
This indicates that the installation is successful!
