A problem occurs recently when I use MySQL in Linux to import Chinese data. It is normal in shell, but it is garbled after connecting with php. MySQL in UUbuntu is not associated with utf8 by default.

This sentence is added only in the [client] section of my. cnf:

[Client]

Port = 3306

Socket = mysql

Default-character-set = utf8

In this way, you do not need to add the parameter -- default-character-set = utf8 after the mysql command line.
