In Windows XP, how does one configure network sharing? With the development of the times, we have to face a lot of problems when setting them. Here we will introduce them to you. I have also searched online for information on how to share the Internet with only two laptops, but it does not seem satisfactory to me, in particular, there is a method that uses the "bridge" setting. It is easy to say on the Internet, but it seems that I have failed to set it. I don't know what's going on.
Now I want to introduce how to use "internet Connection Sharing" in the winxp environment to share the internet with the laptop wireless network card.
Assume that there is only one Internet interface, and I have three laptops on hand, and there is no router, no switch and hub. Now, we need to use a wireless network card to connect three laptops and share the internet.
Step 1: Set up a shared host
Select a laptop as the host, connect the network cable of the Internet interface to the laptop, and access the Internet successfully.
Right-click a network neighbor and select "properties". If you are using the ADSL dialing method, you can right-click the ADSL connection and select Properties, in "advanced", select the option "internet Connection Sharing". After the option is completed, you can see that the ADSL connection has a hand held.
If you are a user with a fixed IP address, you need to right-click "Local Connection" and select properties. In "advanced", select the option to allow "internet Connection Sharing, after the connection is complete, you can see that the local connection has a hand held. The method is the same as that of ADSL.
By default, the IP address of the wireless network adapter is set to 192.168.0.1.
Step 2: Create a wireless shared network for the host
Similarly, on the network neighbor attribute page, right-click the wireless network adapter connection, switch to the "wireless network settings" tab, select add, and enter a name in "network name SSID, select "open" for "network verification", select "Disable" for Data Encryption For ease, and select "this is a computer-to-computer specific network" to exit, next, right-click the wireless network connection, select "view available wireless networks", and search for the wireless network you just created.
Step 3: Set the Client IP Address
Right-click the wireless network card of the other two laptops, select Properties, set the IP address to 192.168.0.X1 <x <255), set the gateway to 192.168.0.1, mask: 255.255.255.0, the DNS can be set to the DNS of the local operator, or 192.168.0.1. Right-click the wireless network connection and select "view available wireless networks". After searching, you can find the created wireless network. After the connection, you can access the Internet successfully.
