Note:: When you install ASP. NET 2.0, application extensions of the root website are not automatically mapped to. NET Framework 2.0 in IIS. This behavior is intended to ensure that existing applications that use. NET Framework 1.1 or. NET Framework 1.0 continue to run as expected.
Solution:
Method 1: configure the website to use ASP. NET 2.0
- Start Internet Information Services Manager.
- Expand the name of the desired computer, and then expand "website ".
- Right-click the desired website and click "properties ".
- Click the "ASP. NET" tab, and then click "2.0.50727" in the "ASP. NET version" box ".
Note:: If you have installed. NET Framework 2.0 and "2.0.50727" is not displayed in the "ASP. NET version" box, go to the steps in the "If ASP. NET 2.0 is not installed" section.
- Click OK ".
If ASP. NET 2.0 Is Not Installed

Method 2: Map Application Extensions to. NET Framework 2.0
