Notes for MySQL Master/Slave

1. Try not to use stored procedures and triggers.

Stored procedures can behave strangely with statement based replication

2. Try not to use temporary tables.

For example, a memory table. Some programs prefer to dynamically create and delete memory tables ..

Imagine that a Server Load balancer instance crashes, the server is restarted, and all memory tables are cleared...

3. Try not to use tables of the MyISAM type.

How nice InnoDB is.

MyISAM does not support transactions, tablespaces are often corrupted, and the read/write concurrency performance is low.

There is no reason to continue using MyISAM.

4. Avoid using certain functions

For example, functions such as UUID () rand () have uncertain results.

5. Avoid using UPDATE... LIMIT...

And DELETE... LIMIT...

Otherwise, it may be terrible.
