O & M virtualization-VMware virtualization project implementation steps

Recently I was in charge of a company's internal data center virtualization project, mainly involving the deployment of server virtualization and desktop virtualization. during the implementation process, I had some experiences and recorded them and shared them with you.

I. Preliminary Demand Survey

Ii. project implementation process
1. Storage division. The server configuration check project uses IBM Storwize V7000 storage)

5. You can select drs and vsphere ha for cluster creation. The former is dynamic resource balance, and the latter is fault tolerance)
6. Add the Host to vCenter to centrally manage and implement advanced VM function applications, such as HA and FT)
7. If you bind a node host Nic to multiple NICs, the switch uses a set link. You must select the ip hash option in the VM to perform load balancing)
8. to configure vMotion for migration to storage and other hosts, be sure to enable it. The case sensitivity is the same when vlan is created. Otherwise, vlanid is not recognized during migration)
9. Set up an SSR Server to back up virtual machines and migrate P2V servers)
10. Install the vSphere Mini Monitor quick, convenient, and free alarm tool to send custom alarms, regardless of whether the vSphere Client is running or not)
 
The preliminary work and implementation of the project have been basically completed. This is probably the process in which the vm project can be successfully implemented. You can also enable the FT function for each virtual machine. This is a resource image that does not have a switching time and does not interrupt services, but consumes double resources ).
