Opentack divides its own architecture into several application scenarios:
- General Purpose
- Compute focused
- Storage focused
- Network focused
- Multi-site
- Hybrid
Examples of General perpose common scenarios are as follows:
A company mainly provides Web applications, including tomcat, nginx, and mariadb. In this scenario, we use openstack to perform Load Balancing by using physical Server Load balancer devices. The neutron service is not used, and object is enabled to store web static resource fragments. Cinder storge is used for image storage and data storage. mariadb's data is stored on dedicated storage devices, while others such as Tomcat and nginx are implemented using nova compute. The CPU coverage ratio is, and the memory coverage ratio is 1.5: 1. Through this example, we can outline the architecture of most small and medium-sized companies when using openstack. Other scenarios will be introduced later.
