UltraEdit was originally designed as a tool to open large files, but by default the following optimization settings are required:
- Prohibit temporary files
- Prevent line numbers from appearing
- Prohibit file (carriage return & line feed) conversion
- Suppress code folding
- Suppress list of functions
- Set open XML Large file threshold
- Prohibit syntax highlighting
- Prohibit list change indicator (LCI)
1. Prohibition of temporary documents
Opens the temporary file, file handling, advanced configuration, and so on. Select open files without using temporary files. and set the threshold (when this value is exceeded, the temporary file is not used).
Note: This means that if you change some parts of the file, the changes will take effect immediately.
