About License
DBA: oracle needs to buy a license, but it does not necessarily have to pay for it every year. For example, you can pay 1.5 million yuan every two years. After the payment is made, the number of connections is unlimited. 20 thousand or 30 thousand connections are acceptable.
About services:
In the past, the branch company bought oracle services every year, and now it is bought by the Group headquarters. However, no matter who buys the service, we have to purchase a third-party company's oracle service. We buy bosheng, and about 2 million of the annual branch packages for provinces and cities in the province are made. Third parties in China must be cheaper than oracle. Oracle's service is mainly used when you find a bug and submit it to him. It will help you fix it. For example, if you just find a bug in dblink, oracle10g has stopped updating, but because you have bought his service and found a bug, he will update and fix it for you.

Architect: The oracle license used by the company is bought by CPU. Once purchased, the license can be used permanently, but the maximum number of connections is about 15000. If you have other questions, ask DBA.

Platform administrator: The oracle License is free, but the service only requires money.

My understanding

I prefer to agree with the DBA's answer and feel that he is knowledgeable and more logical.
That is to say, if a company wants to use oracle, it will have to pay for five parts:
1. Purchase the License for oracle
2. Buy oracle services
3. purchase a third-party oracle Maintenance
4. Your company needs a database administrator.
5. If the project is outsourced to Party B, Party B must also have a DBA role.
From now on, our company's annual cost of using oracle is about 4 million. (Just a rough estimate)
Of course, using mysql only saves the first part of the money, and the last four parts do not necessarily save much.
