Create an Android project.

Start the Eclipse program, select File->new->android Application Project menu item, open the New Reference window to create a new project.

Enter Geoquiz at the app name (application name) (project name is automatically updated to Geoquiz). Package name Enter Com.bignerdranch.android.geoquiz. As shown in the following:

　　Note that the entries entered above follow the "DNS reversal" convention, which is to reverse the domain name of the enterprise organization or company and apply the name on the tail attachment. By following this Convention, you can guarantee the uniqueness of the package name so that you can differentiate between the same device and the Google Play store's various applications.

, the other four options are used to configure how to adapt to different versions of Android devices. We use the default settings directly.

Also, the different versions of the Android development tools may cause the screen to look differently, but the overall difference will not be too large.

In the second window, clear the option to create a custom launch icon (created custom launcher icon) that has been checked. The Geoquiz app only needs to use the default startup icon. Confirm that the Create Activity option is selected. Such as:

Click Next.

The window shown in 1-5 asks what type of activity you want to create. Select the blank Activity.

Continue to click Next.

In this window, the named activity sub-class is shown in Quizactivity,1-6. Notice the activity suffix of the subclass name . Although not required, we recommend that you follow this good naming convention.

To reflect the relationship between layout and activity, the layout name is automatically updated to Activity_quiz. the naming conventions for layouts are : reverse the order of words for activity names and convert them all to lowercase letters, and then underline between words.

Keep the None option of the Navigation type (Navigation type) intact, click the Finish button. Eclipse finishes creating and opening a new project.
