OS X Usage Tips-Easily resize windows

If you want to resize the window, just hover the mouse pointer over the window border. When it becomes a double-headed arrow, click and drag to complete the operation.

In practice, however, it is more difficult to quickly position the mouse pointer over a border.

The workaround is to enter the following command at the terminal:

Defaults write-g appleedgeresizeexteriorsize 10

Log out and log back in to the system to take effect.

If you want to restore the default,

Defaults delete-g appleedgeresizeextersize

Again, logout of the login system takes effect.
