Paste the embedded data object selectively in Word2010

When you embed data in a Word2010 document, users do not need to insert the entire file into a Word document, but only part of the data in the original file, you can use the Paste-only feature. This tutorial is an example of embedding some of the data from an Excel table into a Word2010 document, as described in the following procedure:

Step 1th, open the Excel file, select the data that you want to embed in the Word2010 document, and perform the copy operation. Step 2nd, open the Word2010 document window, and move the insertion cursor to the target location of the embedded data. Click the Paste Drop-down triangle button in the Clipboard group in the Start Ribbon, and select paste selective from the Open Drop-down menu, as shown in Figure 1.

Figure 2 The Paste Selective dialog box tip: If the data type of an embedded object is not listed in the form list, you cannot embed the data object by using the Paste Selective feature. Return to the Word2010 document window, double-click the embedded Excel table data to edit the table, as shown in Figure 3.
