Due to the slow data transmission rate provided by the traditional twisted pair wires, the network performance in Internet cafes is low, which seriously restricts the expansion of Internet cafes and the adoption of new access methods is unstoppable.
Optical fiber provides a higher network transmission rate than the traditional twisted pair wires. A single-mode optical fiber can provide a maximum data transmission rate of 1000 Mbit/s. Therefore, optical fiber becomes a new access mode for large and medium-sized Internet cafes. Of course, optical fiber not only provides higher data transmission rate and larger bandwidth. It also features long data transmission distance, strong anti-interference ability, and high reliability.
Today, Internet cafes in China are saturated, especially in some large and medium-sized cities. In such a large Internet cafe group, it is essential to keep itself profitable. A good service quality, fast and stable network platform is essential. Although many Internet cafes use fiber-optic access, some large and medium-sized Internet cafes still feel that the network bandwidth is insufficient. How can we increase the network bandwidth at a low cost? Dual-fiber access is the best method.
Introduction to dual-fiber access
The dual-optical fiber access solution is a solution that increases the network performance by adding one optical fiber access channel when a single optical fiber access fails to meet the needs of Internet cafe users. The core of Dual-fiber access is how two optical fibers are connected to the router. From the dual-optical fiber access to the router, we can see that the router must have two WAN ports or more WAN ports. Therefore, the dual-WAN port router is more suitable for Internet cafe users. The two WAN ports provided by the dual-WAN port router cannot be directly connected to the optical fiber. The first method is to use optical fiber transceiver to connect the optical fiber to the dual-WAN port router. This method is most characteristic of its low investment cost and is also the most suitable for Internet cafe users. When selecting Optical Fiber transceiver, performance is of course important, but more attention should be paid to the type of access optical fiber media. If it is a single-mode optical fiber, it is necessary to use a single-mode optical fiber transceiver; if it is a multi-mode optical fiber, the Multi-Mode Optical Fiber transceiver is used.
The second is to directly use the optical fiber module provided by the dual-WAN port router. However, this type of Optical Fiber Module requires additional costs, and the cost is higher than that of the optical fiber transceiver. If you consider the cost, we do not recommend this method to Internet cafe users.
Internet cafe dual-fiber Access Router Solution
We mentioned two methods for Internet cafe dual-fiber access. In this solution, we chose the first method. It is a dual-Optical Fiber Access Router using optical fiber transceiver.
The network topology of the dual-Optical Fiber Access Router implemented by the optical fiber transceiver. When the optical fiber is connected to the Internet cafe network, it is first connected to the optical fiber interface provided by the optical fiber transceiver, then connect the twisted pair through another RJ-45 interface provided by the optical transceiver. At this time, the optical signals provided by the optical fiber are converted into electrical signals and input to the twisted pair through the optical fiber transceiver, the other end of the twisted pair is connected to a WAN port in the vro to transmit data. The same is true for the other line. After the dual-optical fiber connection to the duwan port router is successful, the dual-Optical Fiber Access Router solution basically succeeds. Of course, other devices in the internet cafe also need to be installed.
This is only from the hardware aspect, any network needs to consider software configuration issues. Since this article is from the hardware point of view, we will not introduce the software configuration here. You can refer to the configuration in the vro to achieve dual-fiber access.
Advantages of Dual-optical fiber access
Dual-fiber access can provide greater bandwidth and improve the performance of Internet cafes.
The dual-optical fiber access can also increase the total bandwidth of the network egress and increase the speed of Internet access by Internet users in the Internet cafe. This is especially important for Internet cafe users.
In the case of dual-optical fiber access, the diversity of optical fiber lines ensures the stability of the network and the versatility of the network. In the lines connected to the LAN, we can select different lines, such as China Telecom and China Netcom. When one line fails, another line can replace the faulty line to ensure stable network operation. Different ISP vendors, such as China Telecom and China Netcom, have different services. Therefore, when dual-optical fiber access is enabled, lan functions can be enriched.
I believe everyone knows that most of today's networks are based on the network platforms of China Telecom and China Netcom. If we use two optical fiber lines of China Telecom and China Netcom to achieve dual-fiber access, computers in Internet cafes will be enhanced to access the networks of China Telecom and China Netcom, reducing the speed difference between China Telecom and China Netcom's networks.
