At this time, we know that the counter item number is 5556, And the Helper item content is 5557.

Then, operate the directory tree on the left of the Registry Editor and navigate to the Perflib directory. Check the value of the "Laster counter" and "Laster help" items in the right window, change the value of Laster counter to the value of counter 5556 in the record just now, and change the value of Laster help to the value of help 5557 that was just written down.

Note that when you modify a number, the base number must be "decimal". Otherwise, the number does not match and the SQL Server 2005 check will fail again.

Close the Registry Editor and start to Install SQL Server 2005. The installation is successful.
