XP is a Windows operating system launched by Microsoft. It has the largest volume and the longest installation time so far. It is also known as the most powerful product. It usually takes 50 to 50 minutes to install XP ~ About 80 minutes, so what did XP do for such a long time? Why do some people claim that the installation of XP has damaged their original system or files? Let's take a closer look at the key steps during the installation of XP so that everyone can understand the security points of the installation of XP:

I. decompress data packets and copy temporary files

InstallProgramIt is mainly to create a temporary directory on drive C, and release the files in some packages in the installation program to this directory to prepare for installation. The compressed Installation File of XP has reached several hundred megabytes, and the files copied to the temporary directory also have two or three hundred mb. Therefore, smartdrv must be loaded for DOS installation. EXE. If you forget it, the installation process will be several times longer. Note! Himem. sys should be loaded in config. sys first. Otherwise, it is invalid to enter smartdrv. Generally, this process requires 8 ~ 15 minutes, depending on your hardware capabilities. The copy process may take a long time for a person who does not load smartdrv to forcibly restart the system to damage the partition table. This is the first risk.

Ii. Check the partition and the original Windows Version

Since Windows2000, Microsoft's installation program has been capable of detecting users' hard disks and partitions. If your partition has not been formatted, the installer also provides the partition formatting function. The format can be fat, FAT32, NTFS, and so on. The recommended format for Microsoft is NTFS, the installed partition format is NTFS in the list. If you are a newbie and choose to format it as NTFS, if the XP installer crashes during the conversion, the partition table may also be damaged, in addition, NTFS cannot be started with a DOS boot disk. New users may be overwhelmed and forcibly use fdisk to re-partition and lose all data. This is the second danger. We recommend that you use the FAT32 format for beginners. If you really want to convert the data, we recommend that you use the pqpartition master, which is fast and secure.
