PowerDesigner importing a data model from a SQL Server database

PowerDesigner import data from the database first step, open PowerDesigner, select "File" option in the menu, then select "Reverse Engineer" option in the pop-up drop-down list and select "Database" Options

The second step is to select the button to the right of the Using a data source option

The third step pops up the Connect to a Data Source dialog box, click Configure

Fourth step to create a new ODBC connection

Fifth step in the dialog box that pops up, select the "System Data source" option, and then click Next

Sixth step in the popup dialog box, select the driver, here is SQL Server, then click Next

Seventh step, click Finish, fill in the name description and connect the server name

Eighth Step Select authentication method and user, password

Nineth Step Client Configuration

Tenth step, click Next to start the import

Test Connection Results

Save after successful configuration

Connecting to a database
