In Vim, we can use the expression register to directly perform mathematical operations and then insert the results into our documentation.
The expression register can be = accessed by accessing, in insert mode we can enter <C-r>= to start the expression register, at the bottom of the screen there is a terminal, we enter the formula, and then return, the results will be inserted into the document cursor location. As follows:
