Principles of Web application development

Enterprise Application Computing mode changes every 10 years from the centralized computing mode of the host/dummy terminal in the 1970s, to the client/server computing mode in the 1980s, to today's browser/server computing mode.

The most basic components required to run a complete Web application include Web applications consisting of Web pages, Web servers that store Web applications and provide Web browsing services, and client browsers that parse and display Web pages to users. The technology of developing Web application is divided into several kinds, according to the way that Web server parses webpage, we can divide it into static webpage, client dynamic webpage, server side dynamic webpage three kinds.

Whether we use static Web technology or Dynamic Web page technology to develop Web pages, ultimately by the Web server parsing, through the HTTP protocol sent to the client, is a form. That is, when we view the source code of the Web page in a browser, we see a form.

The Web page sent to the client consists of four parts, including: The content of the webpage, the structure of the webpage, the form of the webpage, and the behavior of the webpage. Where the structure of the Web page is defined by XHTML, and the Web page's representation is defined by CSS,

The behavior of the Web page is defined by JavaScript and DOM.
