For the career of programmers, because new technologies are constantly emerging and software tool versions are constantly updated, it is doomed that the life of programmers should embrace changes. On the other hand, programmers in China are also destined to have Chinese characteristics: short career life cycles and lack of planned endless overtime work. Although some people see that programmers occasionally earn more envy, I feel that most programmers in our country rely on hard work to earn money by working overtime. The price-performance ratio is average.
However, for most people, it is not their own decision to do nothing, especially those who have done the program for many years have less choice. So how do programmers choose the development direction? I have a long experience in private enterprises, foreign companies, and state-owned enterprises. I have a better understanding of the management modes of China and the United States, private enterprises and state-owned enterprises, can make a profound comparison.
In my opinion, most projects in China are dependent on customer relationships and have low dependence on software technologies. It is also possible for programmers to work early, otherwise, software companies will be gradually abandoned because they do not pay much attention to it. It is naturally uncomfortable for the company to pay no attention to it. As a result, programmers should turn to products at the right time for project development. Because products are centered on business and technology, programmers can continuously accumulate experience and gradually increase their own value. Of course, software products are much smaller than projects. In addition, many enterprises in our country, especially state-owned enterprises, prefer to use "customized software ", so there will be fewer opportunities for products, and software products with great market potential will become a new arena for Chinese programmers. I have had many years of experience and comments. I wish you good luck!
