Provisions of the University of Posts and telecommunications on the requirement for public publication of academic papers during the reading period (revised October 2014)

The first degree awarded quality in particular Doctoral degree award quality represents the academic level of a school. The publication of academic papers by postgraduate students during reading is a necessary condition for proving their academic level and obtaining a doctorate or master's degree. In order to guarantee and further improve the quality of doctoral and Master's Degree award, we have formulated this provision.

The second graduate in the application for dissertation defense, must provide his academic degree during the study of posts and telecommunications as the first signature unit of the official publication of scholarly papers, the acquisition of scientific and technological incentives or invention patents to reflect the academic level of relevant supporting materials. The academic papers provided must be the first author of the graduate student himself and, if I am the second author, the first author must be his mentor.

The following requirements should be met in the publication of academic papers by doctoral students during their reading period:

1, Engineering, Military science categories:

(1) as the first author in the SCI included in the source of the publication of at least 2 papers , or as the first author in the SCI included in the source of the official publication of 1 papers and in the EI included in the source or annex of the subject designated by the major international academic conference published at least 2 articles .

(2) papers published at the Journal of Posts and Telecommunications and at the same international conference, regardless of the number of articles, are only counted in 1 when applying for a degree.

Note 1: PhD students in computer science and technology subject to the first author status in the annex of the Chinese Journal of the subject or the Chinese Computer Society recommended a Class A conference published 1 articles can be equivalent to published in the SCI included in the source of the paper 1.

NOTE 2: PhD students in software engineering subject to the first author status in the annex of the Chinese Journal of the subject or in the annex of the major international Academic conference designated by the subject of 1 articles may be equivalent to published in the SCI included in the source of the paper 1.

2. Management Category:

(1) formally published more than 3 articles (including 3 articles) as the first author, of which: at least 2 articles were published in the source of Cssci or EI.

(2) The first author formally published in the SCI, ssci included in the source of the paper 1 equivalent to published in Cssci included in the source of 2 papers.

(3) papers published at the Beijing University of Posts and telecommunications and at the same international conference, regardless of the number of articles, are only counted at 1 when applying for a degree.

Fourth of the postgraduate students in the public publication of academic papers should meet the following requirements:

1, at least in the public offering of academic publications or national academic conferences or international academic conferences or the proceedings of two or more at home and abroad to formally publish 1 academic papers as the first author;

2, at least in the Ministry of Education Science and Technology Development Center of China Science and technology paper Online website or our school online publication as the first author of the formal publication of 1 academic papers.

3, foreign language majors can also be signed in academic monographs to complete more than 10,000 words of work or signed to complete the translation of 50,000 Chinese characters or more than 20,000 English words translated.

Fifth the postgraduate obtains the science and technology reward or the invention patent according to the following way cognizance:

1, the graduate thesis work results obtained national Science and Technology Award (signed posts and telecommunications, there is a certificate) 1, can be equivalent to the SCI included in the source of published papers 1;

2, the Graduate dissertation work results obtained at home and abroad invention patents or provincial and ministerial Science and Technology Awards (signature posts and telecommunications) 1, can be equated with the source of EI included in the publication of 1 papers;

Sixth the relevant graduate student may carry on the "equivalent academic achievement" the cognizance, the implementation rule see annex.

Seventh This provision applies to full-time academic postgraduate students.

Eighth the right to interpret this provision is in graduate school.

Nineth This provision is approved by the October 30, 2014 School Degree Assessment committee, since the 2015 level of graduate students from the implementation. Post-level 2015 graduate students may be executed in accordance with these provisions, or in accordance with the provisions of the University of Posts and Telecommunications Institute for the public publication of academic papers during the reading period of the July 3, 2012 school degree Assessment Committee.
