PS Photo processing: teach you to take pictures of no one in a crowded place

As a building photographer and travel enthusiast, I often have to keep looking for places in the photo shoot so that no one else or car will appear. But in a busy tourist destination, it is very difficult to do so. Some places are so popular that no one is there for a moment. Luckily we have some simple techniques that allow you to "create" a picture of no one. All you need is a tripod, and your image-editing software.

This article will explain the basics of shooting techniques and the principle of post editing without the specifics of any editing software, so anyone can implement these effects on any software.

The basic principle of getting an unmanned photograph is based on the fact that people usually walk around. So you can take a series of photos of people in different locations in the same place and then synthesize them in later software. Here's an example:

The following picture was taken from a skyscraper in New York. I want to take a picture of no one's New York, but it's difficult because it's so famous here that a lot of people like to come here. In this picture, a man stood on the left, blocking a part of the line of sight.

A minute later his companion came, but this time they stood on the right, so I took another picture.

I can synthesize 2 photos, use the scene on the right side of photo 1 and the scene on the left of photo 2 to get a clean picture of no one.

There are many ways to achieve this. You can choose the one you use most. I use Corel Paint shop Pro and just copy and paste photo 1 to photo 2. Using the eraser brush, it is easy to remove the man on the left of photo 1.

The final results are as follows:

If your late-stage software supports layers (such as Photoshop), you can use layer masks. Fold up 2 photos and add layer masks. Select the black brush "brush" off the person in the picture, you can achieve this effect.

Another less accurate way is to use a copy brush. Take a sample of the "clean" area of the photo and copy it to someone else to make the replacement.

In shooting, you may need to take more than 2 photos to get a clean area, but the process is the same. Repeat the above editing process until all areas are clean.

Here is another example. The image below is literary Walk of Central Park in New York. I want to take a picture of no pedestrian in the foreground, but it's difficult because a lot of people like to come here. In the picture below, a couple appears on the left side of the photo.

1 minutes later they walked away and I took another picture. This time someone still walks by but on the right.

Once you have mastered this technique, you can quickly create these pictures. I only took less than 1 minutes to process the above 2 chart.
