In November 2016, PwC issued a 2017-year Global Information Security Survey Report, which came with China-related findings. The report shows that in mainland China and Hong Kong:

1) about 1/3 of the companies surveyed expressed their willingness to invest in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning;

2) The average number of information security incidents detected by enterprises in mainland China and Hong Kong in 2016 was as high as 2,577, up 969% from 2014, twice times the 2015.

3) 49% of respondents in mainland China and Hong Kong believe that phishing scams are the main means of information security, and that the attack on commercial mail is a top priority.

4) 57% of mainland and Hong Kong respondents are investing in the Internet of things security strategy, compared with a global value of 46%.

5) Security Management Services and open source software are increasingly being used to improve the level of enterprise information security. 75% of respondents in mainland China and Hong Kong use open source software, compared to 53% in the world.

In the global report, key findings include:

1) 59% of respondents said that the digitization of business ecology affected their safety expenditure;

2) The analysis report investigates 6 kinds of technologies and finds that:

650) this.width=650; "Src=" Http://s1.51cto.com/wyfs02/M01/8B/3F/wKioL1hIHlrzDQxQAADNUcl8IaQ116.jpg-wh_500x0-wm_3 -wmp_4-s_3966215736.jpg "title=" 11.jpg "alt=" Wkiol1hihlrzdqxqaadnucl8iaq116.jpg-wh_50 "/>

These 6 technologies are: Cloud computing, managed security Services (MSS), Advanced Security analytics and security intelligence, advanced authentication beyond password (e.g. biometric authentication), open source software, and Internet of things security.

3) The 4 key trends that the report shows are that new technologies and methodologies are being introduced into cyber security, that threat intelligence and information sharing is critical to the business, that organizations are actively evaluating the risks of the Internet of things, and that geopolitical threats are rising.

In follow-up, PwC will also publish relevant research results report, I will continue to focus on threat intelligence, big data security analysis and open source software application issues. I suspect that the application of open source software in enterprises and organizations may be related to the rise of dual-state it.
