the int () function is used to convert a string or number to an integral type.

Grammar

The following is the syntax for the Int () method:

class int (x, base=10)
Parameters
  • X--string or number.
  • Base--binary number, default decimal.
return value

Returns the integer data.

Instance

An example of using the Int () method is shown below:

>>>int ()               # when the parameter is not passed in, get the result 00>>> int (3) 3>>> int (3.6) 3>>> int (' A ', ')        # If it is with the parameter base, 12 to enter as a string, 12 for the 16 binary 18>>> int (' 0xa ', +)  >>> int (' Ten ', 8)  8
