Python on Windows

On Windows, there are two options for installing Python.

ActiveState made a Python installer on Windows called ActivePython, which contains a full python release; an IDE for Python programming is attached Some Python Windows extensions provide all of the services that access Windows APIs, as well as registration information for the Windows registry.

Although ActivePython is not open source software, it is free to download. ActivePython is the IDE that I used to learn Python , unless there are other reasons why I recommend that you use it. One possible reason is that activestate usually has to update its installer in a few months after the new Python version comes out. If you need the latest version of Python, and ActivePython is still behind the latest version, you should jump directly to the second option to install Python on Windows .

The second option is to use the " official" Python installer, published by Python . She is a free-to-download open source software, and you can always get the latest version of the current Python.

One. InstallationActivePython

The following describes the installation process for ActivePython:

1. Download activepython or Baidu download.

2. If you are using Windows activepython before installing Install Windows Installer 2.0.

3. Double-click the installer activepython-2.2.2-224-win32-ix86.msi .

Two. Install the python.org fromPython

1. Select the latest python Windows installer, download .exe installation file.

2. Double-click the installer python-2.xxx.yyy.exe . The file name depends on the python installer file that you downloaded.
