Q & A: How to enter the router Management Interface (1)

Today, I saw a question raised by a netizen on the forum. I would like to share with you this opportunity.

The following is a question raised by this user:

How can I access the Internet through a vro after another machine is connected to the Internet?

I used my own computer to access the Internet through a monthly adsl package. Later my friend wanted to connect to the Internet, and I used a vro. Both the modem and the vro are here, but the current situation is:

If I enable the Internet first, my friend will automatically connect to the Internet when I start the system;

However, if a friend opens a machine to access the Internet first, I cannot automatically connect to the Internet here. If I make a dial-up connection, I will be prompted to "telephone busy" and cannot connect to the Internet, in this way, even if I turn off the modem for one minute and then re-open it, it is often that he first re-connects to the Internet, and then the system will still prompt me "phone busy ", therefore, I can only unplug his network cable from the router and plug it in after I connect the network.

So annoying! Is there a way to solve this problem? It is best that I can automatically connect to the Internet, and I can also automatically connect to the Internet.

A vro of XXX is used. The ip address used is 192.168.0.1.

I don't understand. Please give me more advice! Thank you!

Question added:

Thank you. The question is, I don't know which changes should be made and where to change them.
The IP address is 192.168.0.30, And the subnet mask is 255.255.0. The default gateway is 192.168.0.1.

In the attributes of my machine's network neighbors:

In the "Broadband dialing" attribute, the IP address is automatically obtained.

In the "local connection" attribute, the IP address is specified as 192.168.0.1, And the subnet mask is 255.255.0. The default gateway is blank. I tried to change my IP address to 192.168.0.100 and set the default gateway to 192.168.0.1. As a result, my friend's machine could not access the network.

I don't know how to set up "router dialing". What is the current situation of my dial-up? In the "Broadband dialing" attribute, I cannot find the place where you can enter the management name and password.

The purchased vro is more than 100 yuan and has five ports. We have adsl dial-up items on our respective computers. Enter 192.168.0.1 to open any page

In addition, I changed everything back to the original and re-installed the firewall. As a result, when I accessed the Internet, my friend's machine could only go to qq, but could not open the webpage, at the same time, the firewall log here shows the IP address of the friend's sub-host "trying to connect to a port of the local machine... this operation is rejected ". I must turn off the firewall to open the webpage normally.

Answer:

I think this user said this situation is particularly interesting. According to the details of your two questions, I personally think that although he has hung a router, he did not use it at all, or it only uses the four LAN ports of the vro.

Why? Because his vro has not set a dial-up, the functional interface of the vro has never been opened. It is a computer-dialing DSL. If a router does not set PPPoE dialing, it cannot log on to the Internet.

At the same time, it is absolutely impossible for the computer connected to the vro to successfully dial, because the vro cannot identify the PPPoE data packet, that is, it cannot extract the IP address in the PPPoE data packet.

Since the dial-up is successful on the computer connected to the router, I can say with certainty that the modem is definitely not connected to the WAN port of the router, but to the other four LAN ports, or a vro is actually a vswitch or hub.

In addition, the netizen said, "If I enable the Internet first ............ As a result, a friend's machine cannot access the Internet ." Obviously, his friend has been using his machine as a proxy to access the Internet. That is to say, the netizen is a host and his friend is a client. If the IP address of the host changes, or the firewall is installed, his friend's computer will not be able to access the network. If his friend dialed the phone number first and the current relationship is reversed, he will definitely not be able to access the Internet. So he needs to unplug his friend's network cable and restore the primary-secondary relationship to access the Internet.

In fact, a vro is not always used for Internet sharing. You can use some proxy software to achieve Internet sharing. The physical connection is just like this.

After proxy software is used, any machine in the LAN can dial up to access the Internet. After a computer is successfully dial up, other computers can share the Internet through a dial-up computer, at this time, the dial-up computer serves as a server. When the dial-up computer is disconnected from the Internet, the work of the server can be switched from another computer to the Internet.
