Quickly remove extra blank lines in Word

First, paste the downloaded data directly into Notepad and copy/paste it from Notepad to the Word document. This process automatically deletes some blank lines, and it also converts the newline characters in the document into carriage returns (paragraph marks).

Next, delete the extra rows. On the Edit menu, press the Replace button (or press CTRL and H on the keyboard) to open the Find and Replace dialog box.

Select the Replacement tab and click More.

Click the Special Formatting button to select a paragraph mark;

(If you are familiar with code/wildcard characters, you can also enter ^p directly in the lookup column)

Peas want to leave a line between paragraphs, delete other redundant. Therefore, you can enter ^P^P in the lookup column, replace the column input ^p, and change the two lines of blank lines into one line. Then, press the Replace All button

Repeatedly press the Replace All button several times until the final display results are replaced by 0.

However, after multiple substitutions, there are still times when a carriage return or blank line cannot be eliminated.

What's going on here, is this method not?

Look carefully again, it turns out, there are spaces before the carriage return. The syntax for finding ^p^p defaults to two empty lines with no spaces next to it, so this is not valid.

To solve this problem, first have to remove the space in the text. Enter ^W in the lookup, replace the column blank, and replace it all. (If you don't remember the wildcard character, you can select a blank area in a special format like the first picture above)

Then use the Find ^p^p replaced with the syntax of ^p, you can eliminate the extra empty lines perfectly.
