ICore3 Demo V1.0 Program Description

First, Overview

This kit contains 5 folders:

1, "Arm" is icore3 on ARM's package, the development environment for KEIL 5.17;

2, "FPGA" is icore3 on the FPGA package, the development environment for QUARTUSII 15.0 (as if the lower version can also be opened);

3, "Related software" contains putty terminal software and UDP debugging software;

4, "screen" for the work;

5, "Drive" for the onboard USB to UART driver, this experiment needs to be installed to the computer.

Second, the test preparation work

In order to run the test program, you need to do some preparatory work.

1, through the network cable to connect the iCore3 with the computer for testing Ethernet functions; The computer IP is set to 192.168.0.1 network segment;

2. Place the FPGA configuration jumper in PS mode;

3, power supply jumper selected for USB UART mode;

4, through the micro-USB to U disk cable, connect a U disk to the Icore3, U disc must be FAT32 file system, you can also copy the FPGA project SDRAM.RBF file into the U disk, so you can configure the FPGA through the U-disk;

5, the connection of a TF card to the ICore3 card holder, TF card must be FAT32 or FAT file system, you can also copy the FPGA project SDRAM.RBF files into the TF card, so that the FPGA can be configured through the TF;

6, through the micro USB cable to connect the USB UART port with the computer U disk, and install the "drive" directory of the driver files, so that the onboard USB to the UART can work properly.

Third, start testing

After connecting the Icore3 USB UART interface with the computer via the micro USB cable, the computer will recognize a serial number. This serial port is opened via the Putty.exe software (the port number needs to be viewed in the Device Manager), the baud rate is configured to 115200, then type test and press ENTER to test. Test the picture.

Four, network interface test

The network interface needs to install the software comes with the UDP test tool, after installing the "New Connection", select the UDP protocol, and set the target IP to 192.168.0.10, the target port is set to 30000; You can send data to icore3,icore3 via this software. When the data is received, it is sent to the computer intact. Test the picture.

Five, the test content analysis

1, Power: Purple font display as [power] for power test, can get iCore3 5V power supply, core board current, on-board 3.3v/1.2v/2.5v voltage, test success will show [OK];

2, RTC Real Time Clock: will read out the RTC time and date, if the time in the walk will explain the function is correct, here should pay attention to the time is not allowed (because there is no setting);

3, TF card test: This test is divided into two parts, the first step to detect the TF card information and display, the second step for reading and writing experiments, the program will be on the TF card to establish a 10k size file, write and read the verification, test results will be displayed;

4, u disk Test: Similar to the TF card test, if the USB stick test is successful, the program will set up a 10k file on the U disk, write and read the verification, and then display the test results;

5, FPGA PS configuration: The program will try to read the SDRAM.RBF file through the TF card or USB stick, and configure the FPGA, if the TF card or USB flash drive has this program, it will be configured successfully; SDRAM.RBF is converted through quartusii software, this file is within the FPGA folder. ；

6, the bus read and write test: This function through the Stm32 FSMC read and write FPGA internal RAM data, complete 7 RAM block read and write test, each Ram block is 512 bytes;

7, key test: At the >> prompt, press the button will display the key press the message;

8, LED test: ARM and FPGA LED will be three-color cycle display;

9, SDRAM read-write test: This test is completed by the FPGA program, after the successful test FPGA LED will be three-color cycle display. The LED will show "white" after the test fails.
