Installing the Pydev plugin using update site
Note: This installation guide is for Eclipse 3.5 and 3.6
Click the menu 'help> Install New software ... 'to open the Eclipse Update Manager.
Add the update site as shown (the following section gives the list of available update site):

After you enter update sites, select the update site that you entered so that the Update Manager displays all the update sites content that contains the Pydev plugin, then select the one you want to install and click Next. And then

Finally, read the license agreement, select Accept and click Finish.

Unzip the zip file to the eclipse/dropins folder and restart Eclipse

Unzip the zip file in the Eclipse root directory and make sure that the plugins directory is uncompressed in the eclipse/plugins directory, and the features directory is uncompressed in the eclipse/features directory.
